I love the Fall. It feels like such a natural time for planning & committing (or re-committing) to goals.
Now that there are six of us instructors, my personal teaching schedule is down to 6 classes/week, a couple more if I'm covering. What do I plan to do with this newfound workout time? For one, attend other studio classes as a student.
Accountability is key for me, just like for most of you. Even with the best intentions & a true desire, I need these extra classes to be scheduled & booked. It's not like I jump out of bed excited to workout everyday... the responsibility & love of teaching along with the incredible community in the studio are what hold me accountable to barre. But anything beyond that? Pure planning is the glue I need.
So I took out my September calendar last night, filled in my teaching schedule, logged some days of rest, and scheduled one "extracurricular" class per week.I'm looking forward to being led & taught, surprising my body, and yes, picking up some new tricks to torture you with.
I'm also looking forward to practicing what I preach. I'm so impressed by all of you in the studio week in & week out. No one better to make a healthy commitment to than to ourselves.
